I am a Senior Principal Engineer and Research Lead at the Human-Machine Interaction Lab, Huawei Technologies Canada. My work focuses on building new user experiences powered by novel machine learning and signal processing systems that fuse multiple sensor modalities (e.g., audio, motion, touch, proximity) into reliable and delightful interactions.

I lead research and productization in Human-Computer Interaction, Sensing & Interaction, On-Body Sensing, Wearable Computing, Cross-Device Interaction, and Speech Interaction (Voice UI). Recent efforts span wearable and multi-device ecosystems, including earable gesture recognition, smartwatch interaction, stylus and touch input, on-body microphone-based sensing, and speech interaction for smart devices.

I have published at top venues including ACM UbiComp/IMWUT, IEEE INFOCOM, ACM MobileHCI, and IFIP INTERACT, and hold 50+ patents covering areas such as cross-device interaction, wearable device control, wireless sensing, and spatial perception.
